Please read this Return & Refund Policy carefully — it explains how returns, refunds, cancellations, and exchanges are handled for items featured on our website.
Scope & Applicability
VastraWomen is primarily a fashion editorial and curation platform. In many cases, product listings on our site link to partner stores, marketplaces, or brand websites. Unless otherwise stated, VastraWomen does not directly sell, fulfill, or ship physical products. As a result:
- For purchases made from third‑party sellers via links on our site, the purchase, shipping, return, and refund policies of that seller apply. We will, however, clearly indicate when a product is sold and fulfilled directly by a partner seller.
- If you purchase from a partner seller, please review their returns & refund policy at the point of purchase, and contact them directly for returns or refunds.
When VastraWomen Handles Returns or Refunds
On rare occasions where VastraWomen sells or processes orders directly (for example, promotional collaborations or limited-time capsules), the following terms apply:
- Return Window: You may request a return within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery for most items, unless a different period is specified on the product page.
- Condition: Items must be unused, unwashed, with original tags and packaging intact. Items showing wear, stains, or odors are not eligible for return.
- Proof of Purchase: A valid order number, invoice, or proof of purchase is required to process a return or refund.
Non‑returnable & Exempt Items
For hygiene and safety reasons, and as a general standard, the following items are typically non‑returnable:
- Underwear, intimates, swimwear, and hosiery (unless sealed and unused, and local laws permit return for hygiene reasons).
- Customized, made‑to‑order, or personalized items.
- Final sale, clearance, or heavily discounted items marked as non‑returnable on the product page.
- Perishable goods, beauty products opened and used, and digital goods.
How to Request a Return (When VastraWomen is the Seller)
- Email us at support@vastrawomen.com with your order number, item name/SKU, and photos showing the product and packaging (if applicable).
- Our support team will review your request and respond within 48 business hours (IST) with return instructions and an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number when applicable.
- Pack the item securely with the RMA number clearly written and ship it according to the instructions provided.
- Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of approval or rejection of the refund within 5 business days.
Refunds — Timing and Method
If a refund is approved:
- We will process the refund to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
- Refund processing typically takes 7–14 business days after approval, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- If you paid via UPI/wallets or a third‑party gateway, the refund timeline may vary according to that provider’s policies.
Shipping Costs & Charges
Unless otherwise stated, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except when:
- The return is due to an error on our part (wrong item shipped, defective product), in which case we will provide a prepaid shipping label or reimburse reasonable return shipping charges after inspection.
- Local regulations or partner‑specific policies require the seller to cover return shipping.
Order Cancellations
Orders may be canceled prior to shipping. If you wish to cancel an order, email support@vastrawomen.com immediately with your order number. If an order has already been shipped, cancellation requests will be handled as returns once the item is delivered.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective product, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order details. We will guide you through the replacement or refund process. For items purchased via partner sellers, please follow the seller’s damage claims process and inform us so we can assist.
Partial Refunds
In some situations (e.g., item not in original condition, missing parts), only partial refunds may be granted at our discretion.
Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank, please notify us immediately. We will cooperate with the bank’s investigation. Unwarranted chargebacks may result in account suspension and recovery of fees, as permitted by law.
Disputes & Governing Law
These policies are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from returns or refunds will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Surat, Gujarat, India.
